Funding in a famine

Having lived in Silicon Valley, I’ve experienced something of the excitement and buzz of start-ups, of funding ventures, and a society awash in the latest of technology and innovation.  It was enormous fun to live near Stanford University in Palo Alto and surrounding areas.  The landscape for funding new businesses has changed dramatically in the past 5 years.  I’ve lived it, having helped half a dozen groups seeking funding.  For those looking for business funding, two angel funding websites may provide some useful starting points.  Angellist and Gust.
