As of Friday, April 27, Google has launched its streeview service for Jerusalem. Ever wanted to visit Jerusalem but didn’t have the money, or time, or were worried about safety? (Israel is very safe, tourists are some of the safest people in the middle east because the middle east is so heavily dependent on tourism, they are not about to destroy their economy by scaring off the tourists). So, now you can virtually visit Jerusalem by logging in to Google maps or Google Earth, go to Jerusalem and view to your heart’s content. Now, I must say, as much as I love Google maps (I’ve passed many a happy hour exploring the world this way), there is nothing like being on site to hear and see and know for yourself. In fact, this autumn Lisa and I will be leading a 10-day travel tour to Israel October 13-22, 2012. Learn more at Bountiful Travel’s website.
