Two individuals I think highly of David Blake (met him at the Hacking Education dinner with Lisa in October 2011) and David Wiley, friend and colleague at BYU, are launching a company called Degreed based on the premise that there is a major gap in the link between lifelong learning and employment. They seek to bridge that gap.
From Degreed’s website: Degreed is a free service that scores and validates your lifelong education from both accredited (i.e. Harvard) and non-accredited (i.e. iTunesU, Lynda.com, Khan Academy, etc.) sources.
