The Provo South of Center Fest is coming, September 4th – 5th. at 500 south in Provo (between 100 west and Freedom Blvd.) This area will be transformed into a festival of art.
1. The street itself will be transformed with 10 x 10 artist and maker spaces where you can meet the creators and watch many of them work. As an artist you can apply to participate. Prices are $125. You keep all sales. If you are working or demonstrating you get $25 back at the end of the show.
2. A Print Shoppe will house artists’ prints which will be for sale. Every print will have a selling price of $20. Art for Everyone is the theme here. Prints can be any size (even note cards) but they must retail for $20. If you choose option 1 or 3, this is included at no extra charge. If this is your only choice the fee is $20. 20% commission taken on sales.
3. A giant 40′ x 40′ tent will house original art for sale. This is for higher end original art. We are working on purchase awards and people’s choice awards for the tent. 20% commission will be taken on sales. The tent remains up through Sunday. A panel discussion will be held Sunday evening about how art reflects a changing community.
Artists apply here. The original concept was to create a gathering place for creatives from the Valley. There is no jury process. All creatives should be allowed to show their work and learn from each other. So far the event is turning out to be an amazing blend of extreme professional artists and young hopefuls which is exactly the purpose of the event
